Dr. Ananya Deori’s journey into breast surgery began with a profound realization: the greatest barrier to women’s health in India isn't just the disease itself, but the stigma and silence surrounding it. Early in her career, she witnessed how a lack of awareness or fear led families to neglect early symptoms, resulting in a heavier emotional and financial burden. This shaped her core conviction—that true empowerment begins when a woman takes charge of her health.
An Elite Academic Pedigree
An alumna of Gauhati Medical College, Dr. Ananya pursued her MS in General Surgery at the prestigious Dr. RML Hospital, New Delhi. She then achieved a rare super-specialization MCh. in Breast & Endocrine Surgery from AIIMS Rishikesh.
As one of the few surgeons in India to hold this niche degree, she has mastered high-volume, complex cases—ranging from advanced Mastectomies to intricate Oncoplastic Reconstructions. Beyond surgery, she provides specialized counseling and interventions for Hereditary and Familial Breast Cancer, helping families navigate their genetic risks with clarity.
Evolution of Specialized Clinical Care
During her super-specialization, Dr. Ananya spent three transformative years at AIIMS Rishikesh, a premier, high-volume tertiary care center, where she routinely managed an immense variety of complex oncological cases, mastering advanced surgical techniques and fast-tracked clinical decision-making.
Today, she brings this rigorous institutional expertise directly to the community, running an extensive, multi-center practice across Delhi NCR. She serves as a Consultant at Medanta – The Medicity (Gurgaon), and extends her advanced outpatient care through Medanta Mediclinic at Golf Course Road (Gurgaon) and Medanta Mediclinic in Defence Colony (New Delhi).
To accommodate busy professionals and prompt clinical reviews, she also conducts dedicated evening OPD sessions at Miracles Mediclinic (Gurgaon). Prior to her current attachments across the Medanta network, she practiced as a Consultant Breast Surgical Oncologist at Paras Hospital, Gurgaon.
Her private digital desk serves as a direct extension of this multi-centric practice—designed to give patients a seamless channel for global second opinions, comprehensive file reviews, and priority surgical coordination.

When she isn’t in the OT, Dr. Ananya is often exploring the depths of the ocean as a professional scuba diver or hiking in the wilderness with her four rescued Indie dogs—including her resilient special-needs pup on a wheelchair.
